Mega producer Bangladesh has publicly questioned Swizz Beatz's relevance in today's times and even signaled out his marriage to Grammy-winning singer Alicia Keys for giving him a buzz.

Bang explained the difference, in his opinion, between having regular relevance and relevance in music. I don't think Swizz is relevant," Bangladesh told XXL. "I'm keeping it 100." Fans can easily argue that Swizz is as relevant as ever--from producing "Summer On Smash" for Nas and later appearing at the 2012 ESPN ESPYS with God's Son to making a cameo in Rick Ross's New Orleans-shot "Hold Me Back" video to producing "Throw It Away" off Slaughterhouse's upcoming LP, Welcome to: Our House. Yet, Bangladesh doesn't feel it. "I think there's a difference between relevance and musical relevance," he says. "You married a lady that's poppin' [Alicia Keys], you know it'll give you a lot of relevance, but you gotta make hits. Ain't no hits. Are you relevant for the craft you're doing or the life you live as far as the decisions you make?" (XXL Mag)

The "6 Foot, 7 Foot" hitmaker also went on to give props to the younger producers. "The relevance is in being youthful," the outspoken producer added. "Still being in-the-know. I have a 15 year old son so they think we're brothers and I put him on to stuff. You know, I'm 34 but people tell me I look 23. He still look to me for information. Usually it's the opposite; usually the parents are lame or too old to understand or whatever. Just the way I feel, I got so much more time." (XXL Mag)

Back in 2010, rap star Kanye West labeled Swizzy the best rap producer of all time. "Listening to "Fancy" ... This is a big statement but Swizz Beats may be the best rap producer of all time... f*ck that... he is," he tweeted Friday (August 13) evening. "He's original... He's modern... he lives this sh*t for real... he is rap... Yall gone see though... This Swizz year... Yall gone see." (Kanye West's Twitter)

Swizzy later responded to the accolade and gracefully accepted Ye's remarks. "Much love to my brother @kanyewest for showing super love today I am humble by that statement 2010 =positive energy I told you!!!!!!," he wrote the following morning. "KANYE, MOS DEF, SWIZZIE PUSHER T & MR HUDSON IN THE STUDIO = ? BECAUSE THATS WHATS GOING DOWN RITE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!#SHOWTIME" (Swizz Beatz's Twitter) Swizz Beatz Responds To Bangladesh "Don't Let This Clown ..." Earlier in the week, producer Bangladesh made some statements regarding Swizz Beatz, saying the long time producer was no longer relevant in music. He later retracted his remarks, insisting that his words were taken out of context. Swizz hadn't responded to the situation until now when he spoke to Jack Thriller briefly and called Bangladesh a "clown". Check out the video.
